Jaz and Rob. Rob was only with us for a few weeks but has now moved on to teach elsewhere. He is a great guy and has quickly become a very good friend. We have had some fun nights out (with Jack) and some challenges to deal with but none the less he has come through smiling. Rob has taught grade 7 and 8 at middle school and enjoyed the raw chalkboard approach. His students wanted his autograph and the staff at his favorite restaurant his telephone number. Chess on a Thursday with a few beers and nights in the sauna corner were fun but too many stolen opportunities unfortunately. He is a great guitarist so check out his website http://www.ilk.net.in We're gonna miss ya Rob and we hope that you continue to enjoy your teaching and Chinese experiences. ATB Check out the pics on the Shaoyang page. Hi, sorry its been a while... its been hectic busy here in China.
Just a quick update and some new pics on the Shaoyang tab... Been to the mountains to have a BBQ with some Chinese friends and the 1UP crew. We ate chicken, beef and octopus on sticks and it was really lovely. We were then invited to the movies to watch resident evil 3d... Wow, I never thought I would say it but...I am glad to be back at school. After nearly 2 months off work with nothing to do it's great to be back in my arena. I have missed seeing and teaching the kids and it's great to catch up again and find out what they have been doing over the spring break. New lessons, new vocab and new word games. This is what the job is all about and I love it.
One day it's hot and we are sunbathing on the roof in shorts and Tee shirts and the next its freezing... China!
